E’ il connubio tra design contemporaneo e artigianalità che, legati alla passione, hanno dato forma a delle sorprendenti piastre radianti. Il risultato è un inaspettato radiatore in acciaio, dove la materia prima mantiene integre tutte le sue peculiarità.

Ferronero è la società fondata da Sandro Marini, architetto, e Andrea Trambusti, imprenditore e fabbro. Lo scopo dell’ azienda è una nuova interpretazione del concetto di radiatore, lontano da quello classico ma molto più vicino a quello delle installazioni artistiche. Il risultato non sembra un radiatore ma una  scultura o un quadro che svela la sua reale natura di radiatore solo percependone l’ intenso calore. I radiatori Ferronero denotano la ricerca di forme pure, chiaramente leggibili. Anche la scelta del materiale non è casuale e riporta alla naturalità ed al concetto di trasformazione e maturazione della materia: si tratta di acciaio corten , un particolare tipo di acciaio che fa della sua patina di ossido la sua protezione e che trattato infine con la cera d’ape naturale crea una superficie  simile, al tatto, a quella del legno.

In alcuni modelli come il TOTEM le parti tecniche sono completamente nascoste enfatizzando il concetto di radiatore come installazione artistica.

Tutto il processo costruttivo è artigianale, dalla realizzazione in officina alla maturazione delle patine di ossido, alla loro stabilizzazione e relativa inceratura; il risultato è diverso per ogni elemento, ognuno è un pezzo unico con effetti superficiali mai uguali.

Inoltre le stesse caratteristiche dell’ azienda, la fusione di uno studio di progettazione e di un fabbro, ci ha consentito in questi anni di realizzare termoarredi su misura in grado di soddisfare tutte le esigenze di apporto calorico e progettuali anche al fianco dei progettisti dei clienti.

Tecnicamente si tratta di un radiatore ad acqua calda con prestazioni termiche elevate; i notevoli spessori dell’ acciaio impiegato consentono infatti il rilascio di calore per un periodo prolungato anche dopo lo spegnimento dell’ impianto con conseguente risparmio energetico.

The choice of materials maintains the idea of naturalness and the inherent material aging process:  the Corten steel, which uses its rust layer as protection, is treated with natural bee’s wax which creates a surface similar to wood.

The warm water heaters have a high thermal performance. Due to the thickness of the steel used, warmth continues to be radiated for a long period after turning off the heater, which is a valuable energy savings.

Assembly is quick and simple. The points of attachment are completely hidden in some models, which highlights the idea of an artistic installation.

Le stufe e le cucine a legna o legna-carbone sono apparecchi concepiti per funzionare unicamente a porta chiusa. La  diffusione del calore avviene contemporaneamente attraverso il vetro per irraggiamento (dove questo particolare esiste) e per  convezione attorno al focolare. Nei modelli dove è presente, la regolazione della combustione si effettua con la messa in  circolo dell’aria primaria che si ottiene aprendo l’apposito dispositivo situato sulla porta del vano raccogli cenere.

INSTALLAZIONE

L’installazione di una stufa o cucina che necessita di legno o carbone come combustibile deve essere eseguita da personale competente e consapevole del  rispetto delle regole di sicurezza. Una stufa installata male può essere causa di gravi incidenti ( incendi del camino, dei materiali isolanti, etc.etc.)

Working principle

Wood/coal-burning stoves and cookers are appliances, which are designed to be used exclusively with the door closed. The heat is diffused simultaneously  by radiation through the panoramic glass (if fitted) and by convection around the hearth. In models where the glass is fitted, combustion is regulated by  putting the primary air into circulation by opening the special device located on the door of the ash collection compartment.

Installation

Qualified people who are aware of the safety regulations must carry out the installation of a stove and/or cooker, which requires wood/coal as fuel. A badly  installed stove can cause serious accidents (chimney fires, burning of insulating materials, etc.).

THE MANUFACTURER’S RESPONSIBILITY IS LIMITED TO THE SUPPLY OF THE MATERIAL

The efficiency of a wood/coal-burning heating stove or cooker depends on its correct installation, which must be carried out by a professional man following  the highest standards and in compliance with the safety regulations in force. We give some recommendations and rules below, which you must respect,  bearing in mind, however, that every installation has specific features. The place you intend to install the stove and/or cooker in must be fireproof and  therefore the floor and surrounding walls must be in a non-flammable material while the furnishings in the surroundings must be able to support a  temperature increase of at least 80º C with respect to the surrounding environment without undergoing any modification. The stove and/or the cooker  requires an air space of at least 20 cm all around to guarantee proper cooling and a uniform distribution of warm air in the surrounding environment. If there  is a flammable floor (such as parquet, carpet, etc., for example) it must be protected by an insulating plate (in steel, brass, marble, stone, etc.), which extends  at least 50 cm from the front and at least 15 cm from the sides. Do not place armchairs, seats or any flammable object within 80 cm from the stove.
